The Only Choice We Have is What to Worship
Choose carefully what you worship. Give real meaning in life to anything and it will become all consuming and eat you alive. If you choose to worship intelligence and being seen as smart, you will never feel smart enough, a fraud, always on the verge of being found out. If you choose to worship money and possessions, then you will never feel like you have enough. If you choose to worship your body, beauty, and sexual allure, you will never feel beautiful enough. And when the inevitability of time and age start showing, you will die a death of million deaths. This is all inevitable
Perhaps, it makes the most sense to worship a code of ethics or philosophy, whether secular or non-secular. One has within one the power to create or choose what ethics to worship
